Plan of measures for noise pollution in Vlora/ Here are the fines foreseen in

The implementation of the special operational plan for the prevention of noise pollution in Vlora continues.

The plan of measures, also based on citizen complaints about noise caused after the permitted hours, caused by entities that carry out activities with music and exceed the permitted norms at any time.

The objective of this plan: guaranteeing a peaceful and safe tourist season, as well as respecting the rights of citizens.

Within the framework of this plan, yesterday afternoon, the Deputy Director for Order and Security, accompanied by the Head of the Vlora Police Station, the Head of the Order Section and officers from the area, held meetings with the owners and administrators of premises in the Lungomare area and its surroundings.

The purpose of this direct communication was to inform and raise awareness about the legal framework that determines the permitted noise limits and the schedules for the use of music. Owners and administrators were introduced to the legal provisions, according to which:

In open spaces, in residential areas or centers, and in tourist areas, music is allowed from 11:00 to 24:00.

In case of violations, the following punitive measures are foreseen:

• Imposing an administrative fine of 200,000 to 400,000 lek for exceeding the permitted noise level (LAeq (dB(A)) 85 - 110 LAMAX Fast (dB));

• Closing the music;

• Closing the activity and initiating criminal proceedings.

These measures are based on Law No. 82/2024 “On the State Police”, Law No. 9774, dated 12.07.2007 “On the assessment and management of noise in the environment”, amended by Law No. 50/2023, dated 22.06.2023, as well as the Criminal Code of the Republic of Albania.

In parallel with the information campaign, active monitoring in the field continues. Citizens responsible for this illegality will be punished administratively and/or criminally, in accordance with the law./CNA
