Water outage in Vlora/Dredha: We are trying to resolve it as soon as possible

The Mayor of Vlora, Ermal Dredha, spoke about the problem of drinking water supply.

In a statement to Klan News, Dredha said that they are trying to resolve this issue as soon as possible.

"We are in unison with the Water Company, in order to move forward. We are trying to solve this problem as soon as possible, the electricity went out at one point, then it affected the water pump. We are working at a great pace, I hope this situation will pass as soon as possible.

We have been in constant communication with the Water Company, there have been problems in the last 3-4 days and there has really been concern in the community, because normally water is life. We have all been concerned, and we as a municipality have tried to support the Water Company of Vlora to put an end to this breakdown. In fact, until late hours, the director of the Water Company was there with his team, with experts, hydraulic engineers, to identify the real problem.

"The new storage tank, in which an investment was made a few years ago, was put into operation two weeks ago. There are peripheral areas that have encountered difficulties in getting water, because normally when new pipes are installed, they practically take in air, until it is all unblocked, there are these kinds of problems," he declared./ CNA
