Archbishop Joan on official visit to the Ecumenical Patriarchate in Istanbul

The Autocephalous Orthodox Church of Albania announces that from June 13 to 17, 2025, His Beatitude, Archbishop of Tirana, Durrës and All Albania, His Eminence Joani, together with a delegation, will pay an official peaceful visit to the Ecumenical Patriarchate in Istanbul.

The delegation will consist of the Metropolitans of Fier and Apolonia, Mr. Nikolla, and of Berat, Mr. Asti, His Grace the Bishop of Kruja, Mr. Anastas, Protosingel of the Holy Archdiocese, Protopresbyter Father Jani Mërkuri, Archieratic Episcopal Episcopate of the Holy Metropolitanate of Gjirokastra, Archdeacon Mr. Johan Koroveshi, and Mr. Andrea Rëmbeci, Professor of the University of Tirana and Director of the “Frymë Dashurie” Foundation.

The visit is carried out within the framework of the traditional peaceful visits made by the Primates of the Orthodox Churches, which begins with the Ecumenical Patriarchate, which holds the first place of honor, and continues in all Orthodox Churches.

This visit is an expression of the unity of the Church in the Holy Spirit. /CNA
