KPA dismisses Shkodra prosecutor

The Special Appeals Chamber today dismissed the Shkodra prosecutor, Marsida Frashëri.

The KPA panel, composed of Rezarta Schuetz as presiding judge, Natasha Mulaj as rapporteur, Ina Rama, Mimoza Tasi, Sokol Çomo as members, announced the decision on the case by majority vote.

"The adjudicatory panel of the Special Appeals Chamber, composed of Rezarta Schuetz as presiding judge, Natasha Mulaj as rapporteur, Ina Rama, Mimoza Tasi, Sokol Çomo as members, announced the decision on case no. 49/2023, dated 27.10.2023, which concerns the appeal of the Public Commissioner against the decision of the Independent Qualification Commission no. 696, dated 11.09.2023, relating to the subject of the reassessment Marsida Frashëri.

At the end of the trial, the panel, based on Article 66, point 1, letter “b” of Law No. 84/2016, “On the temporary re-evaluation of judges and prosecutors in the Republic of Albania”, by majority vote, decided:

Amendment of the decision of the Independent Qualification Commission with no. 696, date 11.09.2023 and the dismissal from duty of the subject of the reassessment Marsida Frashëri.

This decision is final and has immediate effect. It was announced today, in Tirana, on 10.06.2025", - the KPA Decision states./CNA
