Brunilda Laboviti, who won the election for President of the Order of Psychologists, was not allowed to enter the office by the still-incumbent president, Valbona Treska.

Laboviti's election has sparked intense debate, while she emphasizes that her election is entirely legitimate.

During an interview, Laboviti stated that he received double the votes and that Valbona Treska should have taken over the position, but this did not happen.

According to Laboviti, Treska behaves arrogantly and thinks that the Psychologist's Order is her home.

She claims that the electoral process was fair.

"I received twice the votes of the other candidate. The transfer of the position of head of the Order of Psychologists was to take place. I went to the office, called Ms. Valbona Treska and told her that I had come to the office. Ms. Treska behaves arrogantly, thinking that the Order of Psychologists is her home. The election process was orderly, members stood in line until 6:30 in the afternoon. Ms. Treska would not raise any claims if Elona Mustafaraj were elected president of the Order of Psychologists and she were the Secretary. She did not expect me to win convincingly. Treska is in illegality if she convenes the National Council", said Brunilda Laboviti.

On the other hand, lawyer Eda Grimci has stated that if a solution is not found and the new president does not take office, she will file a criminal complaint.

"The election of Brunilda Laboviti is legitimate, she received twice as many votes as the other candidate. Laboviti received more than 60 percent of the votes. The election of the president of the Order of Psychologists is done by simple majority. There is no quorum. The elected president of the Order of Psychologists must enter office and we are waiting for today. Everything that is happening is abuse of office and denial of the right to vote, this is a criminal offense. Tomorrow we will file a criminal report, if a solution is not found", said Grimci./ CNA
