On the 26th anniversary of the Liberation of Kosovo, Minister of State, Taulant Balla, recalled this historic date as one of the most important moments for the Albanian people and the entire region.

On June 12, 1999, after a 78-day NATO bombing campaign against Serbian military and police targets, KFOR troops entered Kosovo, marking the end of the war and the beginning of a new era for the country.

" Today we celebrate the 26th anniversary of Kosovo Liberation Day. On June 12, 1999, around 50,000 KFOR troops from 39 different nations of the world entered Kosovo, restoring freedom to the Kosovo Albanians. On this important day, we commemorate the epic of the Kosovo Liberation Army, the heroism of Adem Jashari, the contribution of President Thaçi, the commanders and every martyr and contributor to freedom, preceded for years by the peaceful resistance of President Rugova ," said Balla./ CNA
