The Council of Ministers has approved the decision regarding important changes in the law on the address system in the Republic of Albania. The Minister of the Interior, Taulant Balla, declared that a unique register will be created, where all institutions will be referred to. This registry will finally solve not only the problem of services for citizens, but also for tourists to easily find an address.

"It is about creating a unique registry. After the approval of the law and other by-laws, we will have a unique register of addresses that all institutions will refer to, under the auspices of the Ministry of the Interior.

Each residence, each business, each building will have a unique code that cannot be replicated in the Republic of Albania. This enables us to provide final solutions to problems related firstly to the provision of appropriate services to citizens, the second is to facilitate the arrival at the address, not only for the postal service, but also for tourists.
