The Independent Qualification Commission has dismissed the judge of Vlora, Hektor Sinanaj. The decision was taken by the KPK body headed by Xhensila Pine, with rapporteur Alma Faskajn and member Pamela Qirko. 

Hektor Sinanaj started his career as a lawyer in 1992 and was appointed a judge in 2000. He has been working for more than two decades as a judge in the Court of Vlora. In October 2021, Sinanaj received "public notice" from the High Judicial Council following a disciplinary investigation by the ILD for his decisions regarding the execution orders of several financial institutions, which Sinanaj said he had protected citizens.

During the Vetting process, it was noticed that it remained unclear how Judge Sinanaj had benefited from a piece of land in 1992, property for which there was a civil conflict with another party, but which he later acquired. According to the KPK, the fact remains unclear as to why this property continues to be registered as a carbine, while an object has been built there that is used for various activities and renting out offices for lawyers or experts.

A negative balance resulted for an additional floor unit, legalized; for the reconstruction of a house inherited from the mother; for the purchase of a Benz type vehicle in 2005 for the price of 500,000 ALL; for the purchase of another car in 2013 for the amount of 3500 euros; for creating some deposits and cash balance. /CNA
