US Embassy in Tirana

The US Embassy in Tirana has reacted to the agreement reached between the majority and Gazment Bardhi, to set up two investigative commissions.

The embassy states that it is encouraged by this agreement, stressing that normality in the Assembly is an essential issue.

The statement states that MPs must exercise their duties and responsibilities in good faith within the Parliament.

"The Embassy of the United States in Tirana is encouraged by the announcement of the restoration of normal order in the Parliament. Functional institutions are essential for any healthy democracy, and elected members must exercise their duties and responsibilities in good faith within Parliament," the US embassy emphasizes./ CNA
