DP MP Belind Këllicci spoke this evening regarding the events that occurred in Zvërnec and the ongoing protests.

Invited to "A Krasta Show", Këlliçi described the events of May 30 and the rape of the protester in Zvërnec as horrific.

He said that the system set up by Prime Minister Edi Rama is to blame for this entire situation. According to the MP, Rama has divided Albania "into pieces and is selling it according to the interests of the moment."

"My perspective is the one I have held. The citizen who was dragged to Zvërnec by masked thugs, without the uniform of the State Police. It was a terrible, horrific event. At some point, each of us felt like the gentleman who was dragged.

I ask the same questions I asked the Prime Minister in the plenary session today. Has Edi Rama been transparent about this issue? The system that Edi Rama has set up is to blame for all of this.

The fact that Edi Rama has set up this system, that when a serious investor comes to Albania he is faced with these problems and opposition from citizens, is the fault of the head of this state. Edi Rama is dividing Albania into private loot. 

There are some protected areas and of course this place has a history, a memory. Even that protest of the National Theater of so few artists had a big echo because there, in the name of building a theater inside a tower, artists were dragged away and young people were raped.

"Here we are dealing with a prime minister who has divided Albania into parcels and sells it according to the interests of the moment. Every time he has a problem, he gives him a piece of land, as was the case with the Gjadri camp, so that foreigners say a good word about him and he stays in power ," said Këlliçi. /CNA
