Ivanka Trump has shared new details about her investment project on Sazan Island, describing it as an initiative that goes beyond ordinary business interest.

During an interview on David Senra's podcast, she revealed that she met Sazan quite by chance. According to her, during a yacht trip in the Mediterranean, she and her husband stopped by the island to swim and were impressed by its nature and landscape.

"It's an incredible, beautiful, 1,400-hectare private island in the middle of the Mediterranean. We were on a friend's yacht and stopped to swim. That's actually how we found it. We swam to the island. We walked barefoot to the top and were just mesmerized; and that place has stuck in our minds ever since," she said.

Trump said that the idea for developing a project in this area did not materialize immediately. Only after several years were the conditions created to explore the possibility of investment, with a special focus on preserving the natural character of the island and the harmonious integration of constructions with the surrounding environment.

"Over many years, we created the opportunity to help realize its potential and transform it, but with great restraint and care, because the land is so beautiful that architecture should be fully integrated into it, almost rising from it," Trump said.

She emphasized that the project includes not only the island, but also a part of the coastline opposite it, which she described as an area with extraordinary potential thanks to the combination of lagoons, beaches and natural landscapes.

“You know, to me this isn’t even a business, despite its size. We have not only the island, but also five miles of coastline in front of it. A beautiful peninsula with a lagoon on one side, the ocean on the other, and beautiful white sand beaches. To me, this feels more like a challenge than anything else. It’s the culmination of all my real estate experience, all my travels, and a lot of reflection on how I want to live, how I think people increasingly want to live, and trying to build something that is a tangible manifestation of that,” she said.

According to Trump, this initiative represents the culmination of her experience in the real estate sector and an attempt to create a new lifestyle model that harmonizes luxury with nature.

She also announced that some of the most renowned international architects have been involved in the design of the project. The goal, according to her, is to realize a development that respects the identity of the area and avoids compromises that could compromise the quality or the original vision.

"It takes a lot of vision. It takes the collaboration of some of the greatest masters that exist. I was just there walking the land, just trying to be with it and experience it, along with some of the greatest living architects of our time, true masters of their craft. People with such absolute integrity that there will be no compromise. And that's something we want to create there. So we're very excited," she said.
