Order of the Ministry of Health/Pano: Hormone therapy will be subsidized by Albanian taxpayers

Pastor Akil Pano spoke about the Ministry of Health's order for hormone therapy treatment for transgender people.

Pano stated that the ministry's instruction talks about hormonal therapy and will be subsidized by Albanian taxpayers.

"It was surprising to the people how a minister could issue an order ordering the QSUT to provide hormonal treatment for children. When we discuss how a citizen cannot obtain a driver's license before turning 18, how can he make the decision to go for hormonal therapies."

We have seen the order and the instructions and in fact it is not a surprise to us. We predicted that this would follow as one of the effects of the law on gender equality. We opposed it in parliament, we protested in the square and in front of parliament. This story was revealed to Albanians in 2024 in the law on surrogacy. This law spoke about abortion in girls aged 14–16.

"This is not a local culture but a global project of the extreme left that aims to rebuild a new culture. The ministry's instruction, as we have read in black and white, talks about hormonal therapy and will be subsidized by Albanian taxpayers," said Pano./ CNA
