The Metropolitan of Korça, Archbishop Anastasi, has called for greater parental care in the education and formation of children, amid the debate over hormonal therapy provided at the QSUT for transgender people.

During his speech, Archbishop Anastasi emphasized that the family remains the main institution in preserving faith, tradition, and values ??inherited across generations.

Metropolitan Anastasi further stated that the school is not always in line with the family in the educational process, adding that children are being transmitted messages that place emphasis on how they feel, more than on their identity.

He warned that families should not remain indifferent to these developments, as, according to him, people with well-defined agendas are aiming to destroy the family and society.

"You have to take care of your children. You are convinced that no one cares as you do, because you have the roots, you have the faith, you have the tradition, you have the example of your ancestors. And do you know what your greatest misfortune is for children today? Because the school is no longer on your side. Because in school our children will be taught that it doesn't matter what you are, it matters how you feel. And they will orient them, to a very large extent, so that the child does not feel the way he is. So you have a great burden to offer your children to God as he gave them: clean, healthy, not only physically, but spiritually above all. Smart, formed not only by taking them through math, English and any kind of science courses, of course all of them are needed.
