Berisha, again attacking Dumani: He bought the apartment with a lot of symbolism

Democratic Party leader Sali Berisha returned this Monday to the accusations against the former head of the Special Prosecution, Altin Dumani.

In a statement to the media, Berisha focused on Duman's apartment in 2004, stating that the purchase of the residential area was made for a symbolic amount, unlike the real cost, based on the market price.

 "Let's go back to the mayor, because you found out that when the vetting was interrupted, Dumani was appointed as mayor of Albania. This mayor is a shameless, unscrupulous, and undignified fraudster."

This mayor says that on August 18, 2006, he signed a contract to build a five-story, 127.14 square meter building in 2006 for the symbolic sum of 50 thousand euros.

But on page 8 of his fraud affidavit, Dumani declares that he has been living in this apartment since October 2004. So he says he signed the contract to purchase the apartment on 18.8.2006, he says he has been living in the apartment since October 2004.

Can anyone unravel this ordinary fraud and the intentions of this vulgar fraud? And this one has headed the main institution of the country's prosecution. And this one is responsible for vetting prosecutors and judges.

Tell me, does this man have the face, dignity, and authority to hold a file in his hand when faced with such a fraud that immediately removes him from his service?

This is Duman's vetting, so that those hundreds of judges and prosecutors who have left, some rightly, some wrongly, know who did their vetting.

And he says he bought it in 2006 for 390 euros.

"This person, along with this State Security executioner, Krajë, demands that constructions from the '70s during the dictatorship be valued at the market prices of 2026," Berisha said. /CNA
