Karamuço: Neighboring countries have taken notice of the Trump

Criminalistics expert Ervin Karamuço spoke this evening regarding the protests held in Tirana over the events that occurred in Zvërnec.

In a connection with the show "Now with Erla Mëhillin", Karamuço stated that the people responsible for the violence against the protesters should receive the punishment they deserve.

"It was a peaceful protest until what we all saw happened. The responsible persons must receive the deserved punishment. The intervention of the General Director held the two private firms and the local police directorate of Vlora accountable. The rapid response of the State Police led to these persons being held accountable ," said Karamuço.

Among other things, he added that the interest of Donald Trump's daughter, Ivanka Trump, and her husband, Jared Kushner, in a major investment in the Vlora area "has been viewed with envy by neighboring countries." Karamuço stressed that foreign investments in the country should not be opposed.

"For a long time, the story of President Donald Trump's family, which was focused on a large investment in the Vlora area, by neighboring countries in the region, was an eyesore. Not that they organized it, but there is an incentive from external factors to sabotage this large investment in the south of the country. I am for transparency. But I am not going to turn my back on foreign investments because we will never become more serious, with very important global interest groups that will say that Albania is a trash can that only waste should be taken and not money. We should take the money to Montenegro and Greece. We do not have the luxury as a state to turn our backs on such a large investment", he said. /CNA
