A day before the beginning of the matura exams, the Minister of Education and Sports, Ogerta Manastirliu, held a meeting with the monitors who will closely follow the entire matura exam process.

Matura exams start on Monday, June 3, with the foreign language exam. On June 10, the Albanian Language and Literature exam will take place, while on June 18, the math exam will be held.

"All over Albania there are 144 centers where the Matura Exams will take place, and the Ministry of Education and Sports will monitor the process with delegated representatives, ensuring that every step of the process guarantees proper transparency. About 2,900 teachers and education workers will be engaged who will be responsible for the smooth running of the exam in every exam center from north to south," said Minister Manastirliu.

About 28,000 students, graduates, will participate in the state matura exams.

"More than 2,900 employees of the education system, including teachers, exam administrators and staff of MAS and dependent structures, will be engaged to monitor and administer the process. There will be 1,900 exam administrators who monitor groups of 15-20 students, 200 administrators responsible, 250 secretaries administrators, 290 responsible for school structures and assistant teachers to support students with special abilities. There are also 230 administrators for monitoring and evaluating the progress of the tests in all 144 exam points", said Manastirliu.

The Minister of Education and Sports emphasized the strict implementation of the State Matura regulation.

"We have a regulation that must be implemented by everyone, from schools to the national level. I hope we don't have irregularities, but there will be no tolerance for cases that violate the regulation. Students must be calm and safe during this exam process," she emphasized. /CNA
