The training of the personnel of the Port Authority of Durrës, who in cooperation with the Naval Forces at the Pashaliman base, developed the basic diving course and the course for small floating port security vessels, has been completed. A step that affects the further increase of port security parameters.

The Deputy Prime Minister, at the same time the Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Belinda Balluku was present at the Pashaliman base, where the ceremony for the certification of the personnel of the port of Durrës who were part of the training took place.

In her speech, Balluku praised the cooperation between the Naval Forces and other agencies that operate at sea, stressing that successfully dealing with the challenges presented also brings the need for a comprehensive cooperation between all agencies.

"I am glad that the Training Center of the Naval Force continues to train the personnel of all state agencies with interests in the sea, as it has done with the State Police, we have carried out and concluded a very important training with the personnel of the Port Authority of Durrës . Success in facing any challenge comes only through the increase of collective readiness and there is nothing better than a Navy and Coast Guard that operate in sync with the ports that are experiencing an increase in the number of passengers and volumes of goods", stated Balluku. .

The director of the Durrës Port Authority, Pirro Vëngu, announced that this year 7 employees have been certified, while in total thanks to the cooperation with the Naval Forces last year, the number of trained personnel reaches a total of 120. "Today there is a team of 7 with 4 pigeons that will be added, as part of the Government's decision, also for the underwater patrol in Porto Romano and three drivers of the marine vehicle will be added to the patrol of the port of Durrës, as we will have two patrol teams to cover both ports according to legal obligations", said Vëngu.

Rear Admiral Adnan Agastra in his speech underlined that the Navy is always ready to give its experience to other agencies as well.
