The employment promotion program for young people is approved/ These are the age

The Minister of Economy and Finance, Delina Ibrahimaj, announced that the decision on employment promotion programs was approved at Thursday's meeting of the Council of Ministers.

Ibrahimaj has announced that this project will be financed by the government and EU funds and will refer to the age group from 15-29 years old.

The project envisages offering every young person who has been unemployed for over 4 months a professional course, which will last for 6 months or a job.

In the first 3 months, young people who will join this course will be paid 80% of the minimum wage and then 100% of the wage.

"Approval of the draft decision on employment promotion programs related to the youth guarantee scheme. We have been talking throughout this year and last year about the youth guarantee program, which will be aimed at the training and employment of all young people in Albania between the ages of 15-29. Specifically, the program will refer to this age group which has a higher unemployment than the general unemployment of the country and will be addressed by offering every young person who has at least 4 months without a job or a program education, offering training programs through vocational training courses or a job. This whole process will be supported by state budget funds in cooperation with EU funds and every young person who will complete a professional training program, for a period of up to 6 months,, she said.

The minister explained that there will be a transport reimbursement for all those young people whose workplace or professional training course will be more than 2 km from home.

"All businesses that will employ a young person aged 15-29 who are part of this program will be paid 20% of the time of the person who will deal with the training of the young people and the young people will be paid and transportation, up to 1,600 ALL if they live more than 2 km away from the place of work or the place of professional training. This is a policy which is all in line with the policy that the Albanian government is undertaking to improve the conditions of the labor market, to have a better job offer, to increase the wages of employees, that is, to increase the standard of the job offer in the whole country" , added the minister./CNA.al
