The validity period of the patents will go up to 15 years, according to the recent changes in the Road Code.

Prime Minister Edi Rama emphasizes that the new deadlines have entered into force and 80,000 vehicle drivers across the country will benefit from this.

"Car patents will now have a longer term of their validity, which goes up to 15 years. The new terms have entered into force and there are nearly 80,000 drivers across the country who benefit from them, based on the same standard that is also followed in EU countries, facilitating citizens with shorter renewal cycles of the license, from 11-12 renewals as of today, to only 4-5 renewals according to the new deadlines from DPSHTRR, the General Directorate of Road Transport Services, a leading institution in the path of reforms and the Digital Revolution", writes Rama. / CNA.al
