Deputy Agron Gjekmarkaj spoke about the visit of the US Secretary of State, Antony Blinken in Tirana and the planned meeting with the head of SPAK, Altin Dumani.

Gjekmarkaj said that the meeting with Duman will give SPAK more strength to act against the government or its exponents involved in corruption.

He emphasized that this meeting would also be a mess for the government, which, according to him, risks becoming the enemy of this institution of justice.

"I think that every official who comes from the USA is welcomed and applauded by the Albanians. I see Blinken's visit as a positive moment for Albania and any comment would be redundant.

I don't know Blinken's agenda, if I meet Duman it will encourage SPAK to act against the government and protect him from the government.

It is not the opposition that endangers SPAK, but the power, which is absolute, that can turn into its enemy. If this happens, there is information that there is pressure on SPAK", said Gjekmarkaj.

Blinken is expected to visit Albania on February 15, while it is planned to hold a meeting with Duman.

This meeting comes at a time when CNA has denounced the government's scheme to control SPAK with the "Ad-Hoc" commission.
