Anti-drug mega-operation across the country/ Details, dozens arrested, cocaine

The police have carried out a mega anti-drug operation throughout Albania, namely in the cities of Tirana, Durrës, Shkodër, Fier, Elbasan, Korçë and Sarandë.

It is learned that more than 120 arrest warrants have been issued and about 3 kg of cocaine and cannabis narcotics have been seized.

The arrest warrants were issued by the Prosecutor's Offices of Tirana, Durrës, Fier and Elbasan.

Foract RENEA, FNSH, and hundreds of other operatives were also involved in the action.

Thanks to this operation, air and ground checks were also carried out. Investigations into this operation started 6 months ago and the action is still ongoing.

In Korça, more than 18 people have been arrested for distributing narcotic substances, as well as producers of this substance.

Among the arrested are girls and a police officer in Elbasan has been handcuffed.

50 people were arrested in Vlora and 5 people were arrested in Saranda. 20 people have been arrested in Durrës as part of the anti-drug operation that is taking place in several cities of the country.

In Elbasan, it is reported that 7 people have been arrested and 5 others are being sought. While in Tirana, 70 people were accompanied.

To give the details, at 11:30 a.m., in the premises of the General Directorate of the State Police, a press conference will be held on the results of the nationwide anti-drug mega-operation./ CNA
