Worth $11.9 million/ Turkey donates an airplane to Albania

The agreement between Albania and Turkey, which aims to donate an aircraft from the Republic of Turkey to Albania, has been published in the official gazette. This act aims to strengthen ties between the two countries and is an important step in the framework of further cooperation between them.

The agreement outlines that Turkey will donate an aircraft with a market value of $11.9 million. This aircraft, currently operated by Türk Hava Yollar? (Turkish Airlines), will be transferred to Albania without any payment.

However, this donation comes with several conditions. The aircraft will be delivered as is, which means that Albania cannot claim any guarantee for its technicality or condition, and therefore, will have to bear full responsibility for its maintenance and operation.

An important aspect of the agreement is the obligation for Albania to maintain insurance for the aircraft for a period of 24 months. This is to ensure that, in the event of damage or loss of the aircraft, the Republic of Albania has full financial protection.

The agreement also stipulates that any damage or loss that may occur after delivery will be covered by Albania, which is responsible for any possible occurrence.

The signed agreement is an expression of the close relations between the two countries and will enable a further improvement of civil aviation capacities in Albania, thus contributing to increasing the safety and efficiency of flights.
