Over 40 villages in the southeast without power, due to bad weather

More than 40 villages in the southeast of the country are without electricity this morning.

The cause is the difficult atmospheric conditions with heavy rainfall accompanied by strong wind in the mountainous areas.

Only in the Gore administrative unit of the Municipality of Maliqi, 17 villages have been without electricity for a few hours, while 3 villages in the Moglicë administrative unit have been without electricity for 3 days.

As of this morning, 12 villages of the Propotisht administrative unit are without electricity due to the storm and numerous atmospheric discharges. The same situation has been present for several hours, there are also 5 villages in the Pojan administrative unit of the Municipality of Maliqi, as well as other villages of the Municipality of Korça, which receive supplies from the same feeder.

Even the villages of the municipalities of Devoll and Kolonje, mainly of Upper Devoll, but also those of the field, are without electricity. The difficult atmospheric conditions make it difficult these early hours of the morning for the intervention of OSSHE specialists, but reliable sources said that there have also been stoppages on the part of the distribution operator due to the numerous atmospheric discharges in these areas.

It is officially announced that the OSSHE groups are ready to normalize the severe situation created.
