Bitter news/ Ex-minister and ex-chairman of the Executive Committee of Tirana

On May 1, Llambi Gegprifti, former minister and former candidate of the Political Bureau of the ALP, passed away.

The news of his death was announced on social networks by his own daughter, Sonila Qato.

"Gegprift Lamp! Farewell our dear father! On this beautiful day at the beginning of May, you closed your eyes forever, grieving our hearts, to be immortal for us your daughters, mother, grandsons and granddaughters. You left behind us the wealth great, your honest life, your name that has always made us feel proud! Farewell our dear father", she writes.

The burial took place yesterday in the Sharra cemetery.

Llambi Gegprifti was born on 14.2.1942 in the village of Potgozhan in Pogradec. He completed his studies at the Faculty of Geology-Mining.

Gegprifti was a member of the ALP in 1964. A candidate for the Central Committee of the ALP in the VI Congress (1971) and a member of the Central Committee of the ALP in the VII Congress (1976).

In 1974, he was appointed as the Deputy Minister of People's Defense, while in March 1981, he was appointed Minister of Industry and Mines. Before the collapse of the system, he was the chairman of the Executive committee of Tirana./CNA.al
