For the first time in the region, the innovative intervention for the treatment of Pulsatile Tinnitus was successfully performed in a 21-year-old Albanian patient who is now out of danger for life. It is a debilitating pathology whose main symptom is a pulsating and continuous noise in the ear and affects the vascular vessels of the brain, seriously endangering life.

The specialized intervention was carried out at the STROKE Center at the American Hospital 3, under the guidance of one of the world eminences of interventional neuroradiology Prof. Emmanuel Houdart and the Neuroscience team consisting of Prof. Asc. Dr. Eugen Enesi and Prof. Nor. Arben Roji.

It is the first time that this innovative intervention in the world, for the treatment of this pathology, is performed in another European hospital, except Lariboisier in Paris, making the American Hospital a European reference center for the treatment of this pathology.

With an admirable world experience, Prof. Emmanuel Houdart PU PH, is the Head of the Interventional Neuroradiology Unit at the Department of Neuroradiology at Lariboisier in Paris, which is one of the most experienced centers in France for interventional neuroradiology.

Already thanks to the close cooperation with Prof. Emmanuel Houdart PU PH and the Neuroscience team of American Hospital 3, these delicate and complex interventions can also be performed in Albania, giving Albanian patients the opportunity to be treated with contemporary techniques in their country.
