Former MP and former leader of the SMI, Monika Kryemadhi, declared today that she will request that the file against her and her ex-husband Ilir Meta be returned to SPAK.

In a statement to the media, Kryemadhi shared other details from the investigative process against them.

"There is no new evidence, but it is the return of the response to the letter of request that SPAK made in November 2024 and arrived on October 1. This shows that the Prosecution violated the procedure by taking the file to trial without closing the investigations for the sole reason, because it was up to Ilir Meta to get out of prison."

This file will be returned as it came. We will request the return of the file to SPAK, because the letter from the US itself brought the correct information and clarified what happened to GSIS.
