The Ambassador of France to our country, Catherine Suard, during a statement to the media from Korça, stated that the latest report of the European Commission on Albania's progress towards EU standards was very positive.

She said that it was a report that shows the progress that has been made so far by Albania, while adding that this approach should continue in the future by encouraging reforms. The Ambassador stated that Albania is able to achieve its objectives, but for this, according to her, all political classes and parliament must contribute.

"The report that was recently published was very positive, and was also underlined by other authorities and the NATO commission, as well as other EU representatives, foreign policy representatives, the prime minister, the EU ambassador to Albania. Yes, it is a positive report that shows progress and takes into account all the unprecedented progress that has been made so far in relation to Albania. What is also clear is that this approach must continue into the future by encouraging reforms and continuing on this path. It is still necessary for us to go even further than we have gone so far. Beyond the legal texts is the issue of implementing these reforms and laws. The control and the way in which this norm and these laws will be applied to citizens and various actors, including economic ones, still has a lot to be done. I am very confident in the fact that Albania is able to achieve its objectives and we are at its disposal to help it, but it is a very difficult task. Everyone must contribute, the political classes and the entire parliament," said the ambassador. /CNA
