Tonight in Tirana, on the occasion of Europe Day, a concert titled "Morricone is my father" will be held at Italia Square, dedicated to the legendary composer, Ennio Morricone.

The event is directed by Andrea Morricone, who brings alive the memory of his father, one of the greatest composers of world cinema.

Prime Minister Edi Rama shared on his social media a conversation with Morricone, shortly before the start of the concert. Rama further revealed that the concert is a collaboration between the Albanian and Italian governments, and described it as historic because Italy's financial contribution is a minority.

"Now we are ready to enjoy something extraordinary that has been brought to Tirana by the Center for Openness and Dialogue of the Prime Minister's Office, which also has a special feature for Europe Day. It is our cooperation with the Italian government through the embassy. The first cooperation in history when the finances of our brothers and my sister in Rome are minority. So minority shareholders on our path to Europe ," Rama said.

The head of government is seen alongside the EU ambassador to our country, Silvio Gonzato, President Bajram Begaj and Deputy Prime Minister Albana Koçiu, attending the concert along with hundreds of other attendees. /CNA
