Europe Day/ Rama: Albania, closer than ever to the European family

Europe Day is celebrated every year on May 9 and symbolizes peace, unity and cooperation between European countries.

This date is linked to the historic declaration made on May 9, 1950 by Robert Schuman, the French Foreign Minister at the time.

He proposed the creation of economic cooperation between European countries to avoid future wars on the continent.

This statement is known as the "Schuman Declaration" and is considered the first step towards the creation of what is today the European Union.

On this day, Prime Minister Edi Rama, through a post on social networks, emphasized that Albania is closer than ever to the European family.
