Antonio Costa, message to Albania: Your future is in the EU

The President of the Council of Europe, Antonio Costa, has conveyed a message to Albania on Europe Day.

In his message, Costa underlines that Albania's future lies in the European Union.

The President of the Council of Europe emphasizes that Albania has made progress in the integration process, adding that it must continue working on reforms.

"I am addressing you as future members of the EU. On Europe Day we celebrate our common European project, where our founding states choose unity over division, cooperation over conflict.

They have decided to build a future of peace, freedom and prosperity after the ashes of World War II. We believe that your future lies in the European Union.

A great deal of work is being done to make your membership possible. Albania has made progress in the negotiations in recent years. I encourage you to continue the pace of reforms. Together we will build a united European future. Long live Europe!”, Costa declared./ CNA
