"We have been waiting for this day for 7 months"/ Cakrani arrives at

Kujtim Cakrani, the lawyer for the leader of the Freedom Party, arrived today at the Special Court for the next session of the "Meta" file. 

In a brief statement to reporters, Cakrani said that this was what they had been waiting for for several months. Among other things, he added that a decision would be made in today's session.

"We have been waiting for this day for 7 months. Today the court will return to legality. Today there will be a decision. My bets are coming out, you'll see," says Cakrani.

We recall that the leader of the PL, Ilir Meta, has been in prison since October 2024. Meta is accused of "Passive corruption of high-ranking state officials or local elected officials" in 3 cases, two of which were committed in collaboration, "Laundering of the proceeds of a criminal offense or criminal activity" committed in collaboration, "Refusal to declare, failure to declare, concealment or false declaration of assets, private interests of elected persons and public servants, or of any other person who has a legal obligation to declare".
