Hoxha visits the Spanish Senate/Discussions on EU enlargement and the progress

Foreign Minister Ferit Hoxha, as part of his official visit, visited the Senate of Spain where he met with the First Deputy Speaker, Javier Maroto, the Chairwoman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs, Pilar Rojo Noguera, as well as with members of the Senate in Madrid.

In a reaction to "X", Hoxha states that discussions were held in the meetings on the European Union enlargement process and the progress of Albania's negotiations.

It was a special pleasure to visit the Senate of Spain and meet with the First Vice-President, Mr. Javier Maroto, the Chair of the Committee on Foreign Affairs, Ms. Pilar Rojo Noguera, as well as members of the Senate in Madrid.

We held in-depth discussions on the European Union enlargement process and the progress of Albania's negotiations, reaffirming our shared commitment to a credible and merit-based membership process.

I expressed gratitude for Spain's continued support, while we also exchanged views on transatlantic relations and the growing role of parliamentary diplomacy. /CNA
