The session at GJKKO for bringing information on SPAK's investigations to Tirana Municipality officials regarding the Tirana incinerator has failed.

It is learned that the reason for the failure of this session is the absence of the prosecutor.

The lawyer of the director of Veliaj, Namik Simixhiu, has made a request to GJKKO for his client to undergo medical checks in exchange for the corresponding payment and the official defense request.

According to the lawyer, Simixhiu has had one kidney for years and the forensic medicine is aware of this fact.

The hearing has been postponed to April 29 at 12:00.

The directors of Veliaj were arrested on December 8, 2023. Erjon Murataj, Bledar Karoli, Taulant Tusha, Namik Simixhiu and Jetmir Llapaj were arrested.

Accusations for the affair in Tirana also burden the former Minister of the Environment Lefter Koka and his former secretary Alqi Blako, who are currently in prison.

There are also arrest warrants for the heads of the incinerators, Klodian Zoto and Mirel Mërtiri, who are wanted internationally.

Alba Thoma, Valbona Ballgjini, Sidita Kopliku, Pëllumb Abeshi, Etleva Kondi and Sidita Tola were left under house arrest. / CNA
