The municipalities of Fier district have started paying for the incinerator, which is not working.

So, in Fier there is a completed incinerator, it is claimed, paid for by the state, but which has not yet entered its full function.

Municipalities have started to make payments for their waste that goes to the incinerator.

So far everything is "ok". Finally a near-term incinerator can be ignited and other arguments like these.

But there is something compared to the Tirana incinerator.

Farudin Arapi, who is the state administrator for the seized incinerator, i.e. a group of people arrested and accused of corruption, has determined the price of 12 euros/ton for the waste that municipalities or entities take to this incinerator.

While in Tirana, even though there is no incinerator at all, after 6 years, the price is 29 euros/ton.

So, a difference of 17 euros/ton, which proves the accusation raised by the media that the value determined for the processing of waste from the Tirana incinerator in the concessionaire of the landfill is quite high and very expensive compared to the service offered .

Although today the Tirana incinerator does not exist at all, that is, there is no incinerator in Tirana after 6 years, the investment of 128 million euros has not been completed, Albanians, taxpayers, citizens must pay 29 euros/ton, while in Fier, where the incinerator exists, they must they pay only 12 euros/ton.

So 17 euros more, as we mentioned above.

Where is the difference?

In Fier with an incinerator they pay 12 euros/ton, in Tirana without an incinerator they pay 29 euros/ton.

The huge difference in value is clearly visible, which in total amounts to millions and millions of euros paid by poor Albanians for the incinerator that does not exist and for the Tirana landfill that has been involved in scandals, where its administrators and shareholders have been arrested and are being tried on charges of corruption, including the people behind them, such as Klodian Zoto and Mirel Mërtiri, who is called the "brain" of the incinerators, the man who built the corruption scheme from Elbasan to Fier to Tirana./ CNA.al
