The Estonian President visits Berat: It offers good opportunities in historical

The President of Estonia, Alar Karis, visited Berat on Thursday afternoon. Accompanied by the mayor, Ervin Demo, the Slovenian head of state visited the Singles' Mosque and the Onufri Museum.

The Mayor, Demo, presented to the president the changes that have taken place in Berat with the investments in the historical area in the last year as well as the projects that are expected to be implemented in the coming years to help the tourism sector in the city.

President Alar Karis appreciated Berat's progress over the last few years in improving the tourist infrastructure, from which it welcomed over 400 thousand tourists in 2022.

The Estonian president emphasized that Berat offers very good opportunities in historical and natural tourism and stated that Estonia sees potential in this city for cooperation and exchange between these two countries.

Alar Karis is the second president to visit Berat in recent years, after the German President, Stenmeier.
