The Special Court of Appeals for Corruption and Organized Crime has left in force the 'appearance obligation' measure for the former prefect of Kukës, Granit Gjana.

SPAK started the investigations against Giana at the time when he was the vice-mayor of the Municipality of Kukës in connection with a tender for the purchase of fuel worth 21,000,000 ALL.

According to SPAK, Ghana, in violation of the law, did not provide an authorization for the use of fuels to an entity competing for a tender worth 21 million euros for fuel supply.

NOTICE OF APPEAL TO GJKKO

The Special Court of Appeal for Corruption and Organized Crime, with a monocratic panel composed of judge Florjan Kalaja, today 05.01.2024, at 11:00, announced the decision on criminal case no. 62 act, date 29.12.2023 registration, registered on the complaint of the person under investigation G.Gj., with object: "Complaint against decision no. 133, dated 01.02.2023 and decision no. 126, dated 17.11.2023, verified by decision no. 135, dated 07.12.2023 of the Special Court of First Instance for

Corruption and Organized Crime" in matters of personal security measures, and decided:

1. Approval of decision no. 133, dated 01.12.2023 of the First Instance Special Court for Corruption and Organized Crime.

2. Approval of decision no. 135, dated 07.12.2023 of the Special Court of First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime.

3. Against this decision, an appeal can be made to the Supreme Court within 45 days, starting from the day after the announcement of the reasoned decision./ CNA
