Italian journalist Sigfrido Ranucci spoke this evening about the assassination attempt that took place a few days ago, when explosives were placed under his car.

In a direct link to the show "Now with Erla Mëhillin", Ranucci revealed that the explosion occurred shortly after his daughter returned home.

The Rai journalist said he does not know what the purpose or reason for placing the explosives was, while adding that these attempts to scare him will not work.

"It was 10 pm on Thursday when this explosive went off, containing a kilo of explosives and made by an expert. It was placed in my car, where my car and my daughter's car exploded. It happened after my daughter had returned home, luckily, nothing happened to her. But its power could have killed us.

"This is a bit of a doubt for me at this moment, because I don't understand what the purpose, reason or meaning was. It was placed at a point where I pass by often.
