The expanded segment of the Tirana-Durres highway up to the Rinas overpass opens

The expanded segment of the Tirana-Durres highway up to the Rinas overpass has been fully opened to vehicle traffic.

Prime Minister Edi Rama, accompanied by the Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, Enea Karakaçi, and the head of the Albanian Regional Agency for Energy, Ami Kozeli, were present at the opening of the segment.

It is announced that work will soon begin on the further continuation of the axis towards Durrës, as well as for the segments of the Blue Corridor, Kashar-Lekaj, Lekaj-Fier. Meanwhile, the winner of the competition for the Milot-Balldren segment is expected in the coming weeks.

"We have the Kashar-Lekaj axis and we are in the final phase of the documentation. The Milot-Balldren axis is in the final phase and I believe that in two weeks we will have the winner announced. We are on the final route, the evaluation will be given. In the summer season, it creates the entire unblocking of the Adriatic",  said Minister Karakaçi. /CNA
