Veliaj's trial unblocked/ Cases divided

The hearing on the "Veliaj" file was held at the Special Court. The case seems to have taken a direction, it has been unblocked.

The Special Court has decided to review the case against the persons included in the file who requested a summary trial.

One of the people for whom the court has decided to examine the case is Erion Veliaj's close associate, Elman Abule. The other people are Klotilda Bushka, Adela Kondakçi, FB, ML, FB and FB. 

The "Veliaj" case has been dragging on in the Criminal Court for about 9 months because the mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, accused of 5 serious criminal offenses, has postponed the trials with various machinations and schemes.

Veliaj, since his arrest in February 2025, from his Durrës prison cell, using the media, has led a campaign of attacks on justice, the prosecutors and judges in the case.

His attack schemes have gone as far as lobbying $220,000, filling reports with fraud and lies, all of which have been unraveled, revealing the scenarios of the mayor and the media paid by him to exert pressure on justice.

Today's decision to divide the cases, where 7 of the defendants will be tried in a summary trial, also brings an unblocking of the case for the other persons, no longer being hostages of Veliaj and his machinations for failing to face justice.
