The Mountains/Zhupa Package: A blow to the rule of law and a violation of

The Chairwoman of the Committee for Culture, Tourism and Diaspora, Ina Zhupa, has reacted regarding the Mountains Package, accusing the government and Prime Minister Edi Rama of favoring clientele at the expense of citizens.

According to Zhupa, the "Mountain Package" initiative, initially presented as a project for the development and revitalization of mountainous areas, has been abusively extended to fields, hills, and the coast, endangering the rights of owners who do not have the economic opportunity to invest.

She emphasizes that this approach constitutes a blow to the rule of law and seriously violates the right to property, describing the entire process as a "grand theft" to the detriment of honest citizens.

Full reaction:

The mountains package or the private property alienation package. For those who do not have money to invest in their properties, for those who cannot build resorts, agrotourism or any other type of economic activity, there is no ownership for them.

There is no land for them!

Only the rich, those who have money to invest, those who are friends of Edi Rama.

They can enjoy, in addition to the public lands that were given to them for a piece of bread, now they will also be given private lands, with the excuse that they work them. This is the end of the rule of law!

It is the end of the Constitution and it is the end of respecting property as a sacred right.

The Mountains Package was launched and implemented with the idea that the Albanian mountains would be built and revitalized,

where there was no demand to build or live.

Meanwhile, they descended from the mountains to the fields, to the hills, to the coast and everywhere else, just to steal the land of honest people, who are probably economically disadvantaged.

The mountains package is the grand theft package! /CNA
