SPAK Report for 2025/ Braho in KLP: There is a decrease in the use of the

SPAK Chief Prosecutor Klodjan Braho is reporting to the KLP on SPAK's work for 2025.

Braho said that regarding security measures, there has been a decrease of around 53.4% ??in the use of the "prison arrest" measure and a shift towards alternative measures.

The effectiveness of SPAK in adjudication has remained at stable levels during the period 2021-2025. Compared to 2024, the total number of decisions of the GJKKO has increased slightly by 5.5%

"Regarding security measures, there is a decrease of about 53.4% ??in the use of the measure "prison arrest" and a shift towards alternative measures.

The effectiveness of SPAK in adjudication has remained at stable levels during the period 2021-2025. Compared to 2024, the total number of decisions of the GJKKO has increased slightly by 5.5%, reflecting stabilization of the volume of completed cases.

Guilty verdicts account for about 87% of the total, while acquittal verdicts account for about 13%, indicating the high level of effectiveness of the Special Prosecution Office in the trial phase. During 2025, the number of appeals filed with the Special Chamber of the Supreme Court for cases investigated by SPAK has decreased significantly, by about 63%. For these cases, the Supreme Court has reviewed and issued 59 final decisions, while 1 decision was issued by the Constitutional Court”, said Braho./ CNA
