Bomb alarm at the "Toptani" center/ False report, no risk to public

A bomb alarm that turned out to be false was reported on Saturday evening at the "Toptani" center in Tirana.

The alarm was raised by an anonymous email containing a threat to the center's premises.

Immediately upon receiving this notification, security protocols were activated and the relevant authorities, including the State Police, were immediately notified. In parallel, the security teams and the legal department of the “Toptani” center closely coordinated all necessary actions according to the procedures foreseen for such situations.

In the interest of maximum safety, a controlled evacuation of visitors, staff and employees in the mall's stores was immediately undertaken. This process was carried out quickly and in an organized manner, following the emergency protocols that are part of our operating standards.

After verifications carried out by the competent authorities, it turned out that the notification was a false alarm and no risk to public safety was found.
