The next court hearing for the arrested mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, is scheduled for Monday, April 27, at 12:00. This is one of many hearings that have been postponed for more than 9 months in an attempt to evade justice.

Meanwhile, a day ago, in media paid for by the Incinerators, the '5D' File or even the mayor's brother, Arbër Veliaj, news broke that Veliaj had undergone an intervention in a private hospital in Tirana and was then transferred to a cell.

It all happened exactly 48 hours before Monday's court hearing. In fact, the procedure took place on Wednesday and Veliaj simply had the warts removed, which is more of an aesthetic procedure than a medical issue. Veliaj was admitted on Wednesday and completed the procedure within an hour.

The news was not given on Wednesday or Friday, but precisely on Saturday, two days before the hearing and according to data provided by CNA , directed by the defense lawyers and law firms of the mayor of Tirana and the media propaganda of his brother.

Veliaj's problem with performing this intervention for warts, before the date of the court hearing, is the postponement of the hearings, since according to the law, his trial in the First Instance must be completed within two years.

Veliaj's goal is to postpone the trials to catch up with this deadline and come up with another security measure, that of "house arrest", thus choosing not to face justice, but to first get out of prison and then fight the legal battle.

The fact has shown that with the charges against him, Veliaj has been in the GJKKO since July 24 of last year, while he does not appear, but simply postpones the hearings, through his schemes, the lawyers and law firms he uses. /CNA
