Journalist Poli Hoxha commented today regarding the positions on the judicial processes of several well-known political figures, who are currently under indictment and in prison.

Invited to A2CNN, Hoxha highlighted the case of Tirana Mayor Erion Veliaj, former President Ilir Meta and former Minister Ilir Beqaj, against whom hearings are ongoing, as well as their statements.

Hoxha emphasized that it is not just about conditions or psychological analysis, but about the fact that the Albanian political class calls itself a "victim" before justice.

 "I do not believe that Mr. Ilir Meta's transformation is simply due to the conditions, which are a major problem for all prisoners, and I do not believe that these problems exist only for Mr. Meta, Mr. Beqaj or Mr. Veliaj. They are for all Albanian prisoners. I think that this transformation that happened to him in such a short time also needs a psychological analysis. It is known in the world that when you are at the highest peaks, then you go to prison, it depends on how you cope with this huge blow. And I see that this political class is not able to cope from a biological point of view. While from a political point of view it is trying to bring out the victim.
