Marine accident in Ksamil/ Police provide details: Jet ski collision, 22-year-old victim

New details emerge regarding the serious maritime accident with one victim in Ksamil.

According to police sources, citizen AK, about 22 years old, resident of Ksamil, while sailing at sea on a jet ski, is suspected of having collided with the Border Police boat, which was stationed about 400 meters from the coast, monitoring the maritime space. 

As a result of the collision, the driver of the vessel was injured, who was immediately pulled from the sea by police officers and other vessel drivers in the area, and was urgently transported to the hospital, but, as a result of the injuries sustained, he lost his life. 

A special investigative group was immediately established and, in cooperation with the Police Supervision Agency, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, actions are being taken to fully clarify the circumstances and cause of the incident./CNA
