The singer Elsa Lila, in an interview for "Opinion", described as the most serious event in her life, the arrest a few months ago in the Italian state, suspected of being part of a drug trafficking group.

The Albanian singer was detained in Italy for 2 months and then her innocence was proven and she was released.

In relation to this event, she says that the reason for her arrest was her acquaintance with 2 of the Albanians who were part of the drug network. With the latter, she says that she has met several times, where she also had lunch and dinner.

The singer's confession:

For me, this remains a very big question mark since I am innocent and have no relationship. The Italian justice system, especially in the case of gangs, is a vicious system. They initially block the group that is suspicious of something and then this group is pruned until the main core remains and the unrelated ones are released. In this kind of group system that took in many people, I also shot.

Being a public figure in Rome, two of the Albanians I knew were apparently engaged in activities that I was not aware of. My phone was the only object seized, from my apartment the record was very poor. Then after a few months these objects were returned to me as they did not constitute any evidence against me as they were without any connection to this type of group.

After all these 2 months in which I suffered my lack of freedom and disappearance from society... The link that connected me was recognition. It is a great mystery to me. I was seen having dinners or lunches with these people, I was seen visiting them. This was the main evidence. Through my lawyer, who was found after my arrest, was given to me by the Italian state, he explained to me and told me later that meanwhile that night in the houses of all these other characters, the records of the seizures were very rich in elements of illegally, money, weapons, narcotics were found. Meanwhile, nothing was found in my house. My cell phone has not had any kind of telephone relationship either with this group or with these people.

It was the worst event that has ever happened to me in my life and I don't wish it on anyone because this is what happened when you are innocent and end up in an absurd story. Those who know me closely know very well how I live, know very well my principles, my values. It was just absurd./ CNA
