Next week, on October 31, Ryanair will launch flights and 70% of the seats offered have been sold for the first month of flights.

This Wednesday, the contract was signed between the airline company Ryanair and the Albanian company.

Although it has just started its activity in Albania, during this winter season there were high offers for trips to 17 destinations.

Ryanair flights will be offered at very low prices starting from just 15 euros one way.

The CEO of this airline, Michael O'leary, has expressed that he is proud that there has been an influx of bookings since the start of Ryanair's work in Albania.

"Next week, on Tuesday October 31, the revolution of low prices comes to Albania with Ryanair. We will launch 17 new destinations to/from Tirana, where already more than 70% of the seats offered have been sold for the first month of operations. Ryanair's high winter season offer in Tirana with 17 destinations, and over 200 weekly frequencies show the tremendous demand that exists for travel at really low prices for tourists coming to Albania and for Albanian citizens as well. As Europe's No. 1 airline, we are proud to open 17 new destinations to Tirana next week and are delighted by the flow of advance bookings and the demand that exists in Albania and across Europe for low-cost flights of Ryanair to and from Tirana", said the CEO of the company "Ryanair", Michael O'leary.

The CEO of the airline, Michael O'leary, in an interview with Blendi Fevziu, revealed more, saying that with this line there will be about 200 flights a day and prices will start at 15 euros to Rome, Paris, Brussels and even London.

" I think there will be around 200 flights per day.

Prices will start at 15 euros for one way to Rome, Paris, Brussels, London.

It is true 15. But if you want to buy extra luggage you will pay extra, if you wanted to reserve a certain seat you will pay extra.

But if you don't take additional luggage, you will pay 15 euros. There will be 15,000 discount flights over the next three days at 15 euros one way.

We have about 3,300 flights per day. We carry about 60,000 passengers a day and carry about 200 million passengers a year," said the CEO of the company.

He emphasized that Albania will be a success story and that the airport of Tirana will receive about 12-15 passengers in the next 3-5 years.

" Albania will be a success story as it has had a record number of pre-booked flights. 70% of our November flights are booked.

I think you targeted about 7 million passengers before we started and we aim to carry about 5 million passengers a year after 3 years. I think that the airport of Tirana will host about 12-15 million passengers", he said.

On the other hand, the representative of Kastrati Group has spoken about record numbers of tourist arrivals in Albania while emphasizing that the aviation industry in Albania is at the top of every classification list.

He explains that the objective of this company is for these developments to be done at the right time and for growth to be inevitable in the future. In the first year of operation, this company expects to have over 1.6 million passengers while offering over 1,000 jobs in Albania.

Ryanair has launched a three-day promotional campaign on all 17 new destinations to or from Tirana and can be booked until October 28 on the Ryanair.com website.

"I have to mention some numbers to put things in perspective. As of today, the airport has reached 5.8 million passengers, and we will reach 6 million by the end of the month, which means 7 million by the end of the year. That's about 37% growth from 2022, and it's remarkable. 110% more than 2019, which puts Tirana airport and the aviation industry in Albania at the top of every ranking list, a recovery from 2019, post covid. We have all worked together and are ready to go to the next level. The company's objective is for these developments to be made at the right time and growth to be inevitable in the future. This is an investment by the Kastrati Group, the Albanian government, Ryanair and welcomes any other company that wants to invest in the growth of the international airport of Tirana. In the first year of operation, this company expects to have over 1.6 million passengers while offering over 1 thousand jobs in Albania", said the representative of Kastrati Group. / CNA
