UNDP evaluates Credins bank with the first prize for its high contribution to the development of Albanian society!
On United Nations Day, the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) announced the first edition of the SDG Business Pioneers Albania 2023 Award, in an elegant gala evening. 62 businesses participated in this initiative, whose activity was evaluated by an international jury specialized in the field of SDGs. A competition which came during the week of the SDGs held in Albania, kept the competing companies excited for 3 months.
Credins Bank was crowned for its successful work with the first prize, in the large business category, being the first bank to be rated the most for the dedication shown in these 20 years. What differentiated Credins bank from all other competitors were, among others: the food-bank initiative, the construction of the only online Crowdfunding platform in Albania Smile.al, and the strong and continuous support of youth with products, services or even training, internships, cultural-social activities, etc.

The special award, of such great importance in Albania, was presented to you by Mr. Maltin Korkuti, General Director of Credins bank, from Petra Burcher, corporate director for development at the Embassy of Sweden, Tirana. Present at the important event organized by UNDP were the highest representatives of private and public institutions, civil society, as well as various representatives of the diplomatic corps, etc.
This initiative, which is being developed for the first time, was created to evaluate business companies in Albania, which through their work have had a very positive impact through commitment to sustainability and the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations. The SDG Business Pioneers Albania Award is a recognition given to companies that consistently affect positive change through their product offerings, operational practices and overall business strategies.
"It is important for us to accelerate actions on sustainable development objectives. The contribution of the business community as members of the private sector is important in this aspect", - quoted, among others, Mrs. Fiona McCluney, the United Nations coordinator for Albania.

Credins bank was awarded this award as a result of the philosophy of the bank's managers and shareholders, who have always known how to focus on key elements such as: financial performance, with an impact on the growth of the country's economy, the increase in the well-being of to its customers, through products and services combining and integrating them with new platforms in innovation and technology.
