The Spanish court takes the decision, Lulzim Berisha will be extradited to Albania

The National Court of Spain decides to extradite to Albania the much sought after by the Albanian authorities, Lulzim Berisha.

This news was confirmed today in a press conference by the head of the State Police, Muhamet Rrumbullaku. 

Lulzim Berisha, who is represented by two Spanish lawyers, asked the court about a month ago not to surrender to Albania, where according to him his life is in danger in our country and he is afraid of a revenge.

Lulzim Berisha was arrested in Spain on September 14, 2023.

He is known as the mastermind of the "Durres Gang", a criminal organization responsible for several serious crimes.

The gang started operating in Durrës from 1998, when Lulzim Berisha, in collaboration with Plaurent Dervishaj, Adriatik Colin, Klodian Saliu and Ilir Xhunga, shot and killed Dritan Sallak. /CNA
