As a result of intensive monitoring by the Operational Unit of the Road Police, numerous violations have been found, which are a potential source of involvement in road accidents.

589 vehicle drivers were identified, who were punished with administrative measures ranging from 3,000 to 10,000 new lek.

274 vehicle drivers were identified and punished for speeding over the permitted rates with the additional measure of driving license suspension, speeds ranging from 40 to 120 km/h per hour over the permitted rate.

356 drivers using mobile devices on national roads and 371 drivers who did not wear a seat belt.

122 administrative measures have been imposed for not wearing a protective helmet while driving, 89 measures for tinted windows and 145 measures for not giving priority to pedestrians.

78 drivers were recorded with several violations, speeding above the permitted rate, not wearing a seat belt and using a mobile phone while driving.

The Traffic Police appeals to all vehicle and motor vehicle drivers to strictly respect the traffic rules and give priority to pedestrians.
